Magaldi is among stakeholders of ENEA - General States of Concentrated Solar-Thermal

Starting today - 14 June - in Rome the "General States of Concentrated Solar-Thermal (CST) - The role of the sector in the ecological transition", a meeting organized by ENEA as part of the European project HORIZON-STE, supporting the Implementation of the Initiative for Global Leadership in CST. The event involves the most influential Italian stakeholders in the concentrated solar-thermal sector to discuss together the state and development prospects according to the goals of the Green Deal. One of the main purposes of the event is the consolidation of the national network of the main players in the sector to respond in a coordinated way to the new challenges towards the full exploitation of the potential of technology to supply clean thermal energy to industrial players.

LOG.I.CO. Seminar: MGTES is a case of thermal energy storage system for decarbonisation and energy security

Through the REPower EU plan, dedicated to energy issues, the European Commission highlighted the urgent need for greater investments in renewable sources and energy efficiency to reduce the current European geopolitical dependence. To achieve these goals, all the main industrial sectors are now asked to exceed a decarbonisation threshold up to 60 per cent. In this scenario, what role can industrial energy communities play and what are the most suitable tools and strategies to encourage the self-production of renewable energy? All topics that will be explored tomorrow - Wednesday 8 June starting at 10.15 - during the seminar "Industrial Energy Communities - Tools for SMEs and industrial companies consortia for energy autonomy" promoted by the LOG-I-CO Association – Logistics, Industry, Commerce. The seminar will be attended by Letizia Magaldi, Executive Vice President of Magaldi Green Energy, with a speech entitled “Thermal energy storage systems for decarbonisation and energy security: the MGTES case”.

Magaldi Green Energy is among the companies participating in Ecofuturo Festival - the festival of Concrete Ecotechnologies, Energy Communities and Renewable Agriculture scheduled until May 29 at Città dell'Altra Economia in Rome (Largo Dino Frisullo - ex Mattatoio, Testaccio). LDES Council: Magaldi Green Energy enters the first Board of Directors

Magaldi Green energy is member of the first Board of Directors of the Long Duration Energy Storage Council ("LDES Council"), a global non-profit organization by McKinsey that aims to accelerate the decarbonisation of the energy system by promoting the adoption of innovations, policies and strategies to support the commercialization and use of long-life energy storage systems. The LDES Council - set up by McKinsey in Glasgow, Scotland, on the occasion of COP26, the last United Nations Conference on Climate Change - is at the forefront of promoting solutions, technologies, data and concrete proposals aimed at achieving carbon neutrality and decarbonisation and has already released its first annual report on the need for long-term energy storage to achieve the zero carbon and 100% renewable production goals.
