Transforming a "could" into an "is". Our own story - and the European bet - on renewables
09 June 2023
By 2030, the EU-27 will commit to sourcing 42.5% of its energy from renewable sources such as wind and solar, with a potential increase up to 45%. The initial target was 32%. As part of the agreement, member States, for example, will aim to increase the share of renewables in the energy used by the transportation sector to 29%. Essentially, each country will need to increase its share of clean energy.

Green heat for industries: renewables production is booming, now storage becomes strategic
28 March 2023
by Letizia Magaldi, Magaldi Green Energy Executive Vice President It's enough to put together a couple of data to understand how the energy world is changing - and fast. According to Bloomberg data, about a third of global investments (1.1 billion dollars in 2022) in low-carbon energy technologies were directed to the renewable energy sector. According to the IEA - International Energy Agency report, the world's total capacity of renewable energy is expected to double by 2027, becoming the primary source of global electricity production by 2025 and surpassing coal.

Let's learn more about MGTES, the new thermal energy storage technology patented by Magaldi Green Energy
11 May 2022
di Raffaello Magaldi, Executive Vice President of Magaldi Green Energy Let's learn more about MGTES, the new thermal energy storage technology patented by Magaldi Green Energy, startup of Magaldi Power aimed to pilot innovations to support energy transition for flexibilization and decarbonization of industrial processes. Magaldi Green Thermal Energy Storage (MGTES) is a flexible, high temperature Thermal Energy Storage (TES) technology for short as well as Long Duration Energy Storage. The system uses electricity for the charging phase and subsequently release energy in the form of heat when needed. MGTES is designed to offer support to renewable energy systems such as wind and solar photovoltaics, representing a sort of energy dispenser “on demand”, accumulating green energy and releasing it when needed, avoiding intermittency.

The challenge of a clean and sustainable future is possible, but it requires courage. Italy has already shown it: we can do it.
01 April 2022
di Cecile De Mauleon, Institutional Relations & Communications Manager of Magaldi Green Energy Social responsibility and awareness of sustainability will be essential to achieve the ecological and energy transition especially in light of current geopolitical and structural conflicts. Government, companies, banks, civil society are called to assume a true collective commitment with a community vision for the good of humanity and our planet. In 2020, a period of great challenges for humanity began, characterized mainly by the Covid-19 pandemic that hit all the countries of the world hard, resulting today in 472,816,657 infections and 6,099,380 deaths globally (WHO, 2022), without distinguishing between industrialized or developing countries or between poor and rich people. The high number of cases translated into unsustainable pressure on health systems and a very high level of exhaustion for health operators. This notably sensitized the world about the importance of investing in infrastructure, modernization, training, and mostly enabling working conditions for the health sector.
