The World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi kicks off today. Up until 19 January, the Summit is an amazing opportunity for Magaldi Green Energy – start-up of Magaldi Power - to show the innovative technology of MGTES, its new thermal energy storage battery from silica sand to solve intermittency of solar and wind energy, stock surplus and release it as needed.
But… why the sand? The sand fluidization system has significant advantages, such as high thermal storage capacity and thermal efficiency, fast response times and low environmental impact, thanks to the use of natural materials. Currently the first industrial module is under construction and will soon be available for testing by the top international energy companies.
